Casa Bata

Tabú Design collaborated with Casares & Tous and Enggal Jaya Konstruksi  to furnish Casa Bata, a private residence set just outside Ubud, Bali. Designed with a focus on warmth and connection to nature, the interiors pair terracotta and natural wood to integrate with the architecture and landscape.

We supplied all fixed furniture and a selection of custom loose pieces throughout the villa. Each piece was crafted to integrate naturally within the architectural framework, balancing functionality with warm and quiet qualities.

  • Fixed furniture: Built-in wardrobes, shelving and integrated joinery that blend into the architecture.
  • Loose furniture: Bespoke dining tables and soft seating, designed to complement the natural tones and relaxed flow of the interiors.

Tabú Design worked from early design development through to final installation on site. All items were produced in our factory with attention to proportion, texture and finish to ensure visual cohesion and comfort throughout the home.

The result is a home that reflects a perfect balance between light and weight, rawness and refinement, form and feeling, integrated into its natural setting.
