Villa Nisha
Tabú Design collaborated closely with the villa owner to design and furnish Villa Nisha, a private four-bedroom residence set within the expansive natural surroundings of Glenorchy, New Zealand. Surrounded by open land, dramatic mountains and lake views, the home offers a serene retreat with a strong connection to its alpine landscapes.
Tabú Design developed a full interior concept based on the architectural drawings shaping all fixed and loose furniture to complement the property’s clean lines and panoramic views. The focus was on warmth, comfort and timeless simplicity.
- Fixed furniture: Custom kitchen units, wardrobes, bathroom vanities and integrated joinery designed to harmonize with the villa’s architecture.
- Loose furniture: Bespoke bed frames, bedside tables, dining sets, lounge chairs and complementary pieces tailored to each room’s proportions and views.
All items were designed and produced by Tabú Design, with materials and finishes chosen to reflect the natural alpine palette. The result is a calm and contemporary home defined by natural textures, thoughtful design and a seamless relationship with the surrounding landscape.
