Introducing the New AVILA Teak Coffee Table for Indoors and Outdoors

A teak coffee table plays a key role in both hospitality and residential interiors, making a space feel welcoming and functional. Built for daily use and high-traffic environments, it must handle drinks, trays and constant movement in hotels, villas and lounges, while keeping the area organized and easy to live in.

Beyond durability, this original piece becomes a visual anchor in the room, especially when paired with noble materials like leather, stone or premium upholstery. In a villa living room or a hotel lounge area, a coffee table can make the difference. It adds balance, character, and a sense of calm to the space, setting the tone for the interior design. The AVILA coffee table makes the room feel right.

Born in Indonesia

The new AVILA coffee table has been designed and handcrafted entirely by Tabú Design. Designed for hospitality and residential spaces, it combines functionality and aesthetics, featuring solid materials, durable finishes and balanced proportions. It is been made to last while maintaining a refined visual appearance over time.

The AVILA teak coffee table combines stone and brass in a composition unlike conventional hospitality furniture. The teak frame brings warmth and structural strength, while the stone surface adds organic character with different tones and textures. Brass accents are placed carefully throughout the surface, reflecting light and adding material richness to the overall design.

The result reflects both craftsmanship and material quality.

Why Teak & Stone Are Ideal for Hospitality & Residential Use

Material selection is essential in hospitality and residential interiors, especially in tropical and coastal climates. Teak was chosen for this piece for its durability, stability and resistance to humidity. It is ideal for hotels and villas in both interior and covered outdoor spaces.

Built for longevity, it supports a more responsible approach to design by reducing the need for frequent replacement.Close up of AVILA coffee table made of teak with grey stones and brass with teak frame in the foreground

The stone elements are crafted from carefully selected offcuts and surplus pieces, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go unused. Each composition is arranged by hand, making every coffee table unique. This is an expression of sustainability and craftsmanship, where no two pieces are ever the same.

Combining the stone elements with subtle brass details, the AVILA coffee table balances durability, material reuse and refined aesthetics. Designed as both a functional piece and a work of art for luxury interiors.

Beyond material quality and durability, AVILA is also conceived to integrate naturally into elegant living environments.

Spatial Styling

The new AVILA teak coffee table is designed to integrate naturally into refined interior and exterior settings, where furniture is curated as part of a whole design language rather than as an isolated object. In villa living rooms, it pairs well with leather seats or upholstered sofas. The coffee table profile allows surrounding furniture to remain visually dominant while it anchors the centre of the space in an elegant way.

In hospitality lounges and residential interiors, it works as a styling base to hold trays, books, ceramics or decorative objects, enhancing the atmosphere without overpowering it. Its material contrast allows it to adapt across different interior styles, from warm tropical settings to more minimal, architectural spaces.

Ultimately, AVILA is not simply placed in a room, it completes it, bringing cohesion, texture and clean lines to the seating arrangement.
